Mankind, in its great hubris, created automatically flushing toilets as a way to ensure clean public bathrooms. The result, however, are wonky sensors that flush four or five times as you sit on them. Get your peaceful potty break back with a bit of paper over the sensor.
While it may not work for every model (some toilets have the sensor built into the wall), covering the sensor at the top of the flushing mechanism with a bit of paper will keep the flush from activating when you shift around. How well this works will depend on the type of sensor in the toilet and the thickness of the toilet paper, but when it works, it can potentially save you several unintentional flushes.
