Ballloon Saves Online Images and Documents to Dropbox or Google Drive

Ballloon Saves Online Images and Documents to Dropbox or Google Drive

Chrome: Want to share an image or document you found online with others? Forget downloading and then pushing to your preferred cloud storage service—Ballloon can do it in a single click.

You can download the extension at the link below. (Yes, there are three L's in the name.) Once installed, click the Ballloon toolbar button and sign into your Google account. Don't worry, you're only granting permission to create files.

Visit a website and hover your mouse over an image. A small overlay appears to the upper right of the image, featuring a Dropbox and a Google Drive icon. Click either to save the image to one of these cloud storage locations. The first time you use either, you need to authorize Balllon's access, but from that point forward it will be a one-click-process.

Documents such as PDFs can be saved in the same way, but you can also right click on links. From the context menu, use the "Save link to" to select Google Drive or Dropbox—it's an extra click, but still fast.

Files will be saved to a Ballloon folder within your cloud account. From there, they're ready to share with other people, or to access on another computer. If you start to lose track of which files you sent where, visit the Ballloon Departures page for a quick rundown.
