If you're a new graduate looking for the perfect gig to start your professional career, the folks at Glassdoor have a few tips that can help you make use of the resources available to you and find a job that, with luck, you'll love.
The full graphic is below, and it's naturally littered with suggestions to visit Glassdoor and use their resources, but overall it's a good primer. The site is useful for getting an inside look at companies from people who work (or worked) there, and learn more about a company's interview process. It also reminds new grads (and alumni) that their school's career services department is an often-overlooked but incredibly valuable resource. Services like resume reviews, access to career fairs, and interview tips all come free to students—once you're well out of school, those things tend to cost money.
Finally, before you take that job, do your homework and make sure you're being paid fairly. If you're fresh out of school, you may not have much of a choice in how much you're paid (and you'll be happy to get an offer at all), but you should know how to negotiate. Just because you're green doesn't mean you're gullible or desperate. If you can't get the dollars you want, try negotiating other perks instead. Hit the link below for more.
