Ice cream cake is delicious, but can be complicated to make and expensive to buy. Weblog Living Well Spending Less shows how you can make an ice cream cake out of cheap store bought ingredients in five minutes or less.
You only need a few simple ingredients: Ice cream sandwiches, your ice cream of choice, Oreos, and some magic shell ice cream topping. In a standard 9x5" loaf pan, lay out some ice cream sandwiches. Then cover them with a layer of your ice cream. Then repeat and do another layer of each. Top it off with crumbled Oreos, cover with tin foil, and put in the freezer for at least two hours to set.
