There are some great meal planning apps out there, and Say Mmm is yet another tool for organizing recipes, planning menus, and creating shopping lists. However, it also integrates with Evernote to automatically create shopping lists from the recipes you save.
Sign up for a free Say Mmm account and then visit the Evernote linking page. Sign into your Evernote account—create one if you don't already have one—and grant Say Mmm access. Your existing notes are safe as authorization only permits Say Mmm to create, not delete, content.
Within Evernote, create a note that includes a recipe, or save a web site that includes a recipe. With the Evernote app or on the web site tag the note with a "Say Mmm" tag. Say Mmm will create a new note for you that includes all of the groceries you need to make a recipe.
The note also includes nutrition information for the recipe—although this is only an estimate. If you create two or more lists, Say Mmm will also create an extra list that includes a "combine" option which you can use to create a master shopping list. If you love using Evernote to store your recipes but like the idea of a more powerful meal planning tool, Say Mmm is a great way to get the best of both worlds.
