Properly Remove a Tick with this Illustrated Guide


One of the more dangerous summertime bugs is the tick, but fear not, The Art of Manliness has a handy illustrated guide to help you properly remove the blood-sucking pest.


You should use tweezers to grab the tick as close to the head as you can, or as close to your skin as possible, and gently pull it out. Then clean the bite with some rubbing alcohol and wash your hands. Along with the illustrated guide, The Art of Manliness also shares some tips on prevention. Remember to always wear long-sleeved clothing when walking through brush or tall grass, use repellent with DEET, and check your clothing and body for ticks when you come back inside.
