Learn How to Cook Healthy Family Meals with This Free Stanford Course


Planning and cooking healthy meals day in and day out is a challenge, especially if there are picky eaters or people with food allergies in your household. This free Stanford Course teaches the basics of healthy food to make it easier for families to cook at home.


The course is taught by Dr. Maya Adam, a Stanford professor and the founder of Just Cook for Kids. Although the course, Child Nutrition and Cooking, is targeted towards parents in particular, the videos could benefit anyone with an interest in cooking healthier meals.


Topics include everything from how to stock your pantry and the six ingredients you should always have on hand, how to create a balanced meal, the most nutritious foods, how to buy sustainable foods and grow a kitchen garden, and how to deal with food allergies. There are cooking demonstrations as well.
