Gusto Sorts Multiple Inboxes by Mails, Files and Photos

Gusto Sorts Multiple Inboxes by Mails, Files and Photos

iOS: Those who use multiple email accounts know all too well the pain of sending an attachment received in one inbox to someone on another account. Gusto wants to make that easier, and along the way, add a few neat attachment sorting options to your inbox too.

This free email app works with all the major email services and you can add any POP3 email accoutn too. Once you do that, Gusto will pull in all your emails and sort the attachments into two self-explanatory tabs: Files and Photos. You can choose to view all accounts at the same time or filter to any one. The mails, files and photos can be browsed as condensed lists, lists with previews, or a thumbnailed grid.

In a way, Gusto is like what the Mikey plugin does for Gmail, but across various accounts. It's also nice that it's completely free.

Gusto has also put together a powerful search engine to find anything in the mails, files or photos, sortable by account, date, read/unread, extensions, sizes and more. It's not something you'll use all the time, but when you do need it, you'll be glad Gusto exists.

Composing an email is where all that attachment sorting really helps. Tap the "Attach" icon and you can grab any file or photo from any inbox, and send it through any account. It just works. What's weird though is that you can't attach anything stored on your phone's local storage, like a photo you just took.

Gusto's appeal lies in its ability to sort your inbox for those occasions when you need it, but it lacks features like threaded conversations in the default inbox. It's probably not an email client that is going to replace your preferred app, like Gmail or Mailbox—but install it and switch the notifications off, and it's a good app to have when you need it in a pinch.
