Use a Chilled Glass with Room Temperature Beer for Best Flavor

There's nothing quite like a beer in a frosty glass. But, despite its awesome factor, a chilled glass isn't ideal in every situation. Over at The Kitchn, they explain that a chilled glass is best used for room temperature beer.

When a beer is at room temperature, the chilled glass brings the temperature of the beer down to the optimal flavor range, usually between 40 and 55˚F. Beer already at that optimal range (like beer you've kept in the fridge) suffers when poured into a chilled glass. According to Ryan Dorchak, a Certified Cicerone:

"It's a cold, harsh realization to come to terms with the fact you've been pouring expensive beer into a glass and losing the flavor profiles the brewers worked so hard to perfect."
