G.lux Adjusts the Color Temperature of Chrome to Reduce Eye Strain

Chrome OS: You're probably familiar with F.lux, the popular eye-saving utility that we've discussed a lot here at Lifehacker. G.lux, is a Chrome extension that brings some of the same F.lux features to Chrome.

F.lux is available on Windows, Mac, Linux, and jailbroken iPhones, but not on Chromebooks. G.lux fills some of the void by offering seven color temp presets for Chrome: tungsten, halogen, fluorescent, daylight, black, white, and custom. The main drawback of G.lux is that it doesn't switch temperatures automatically, though the developer says that it's "coming soon."

The G.lux extension isn't a perfect solution, but it does work and if you're using a Chromebook, your eyes will thank you for it. Hit the source link to give it a try.
