Boil Eggs in a Coffee Cup, and Other Office-Friendly Food Hacks

When you eat at the office, you have to make do with the tools available to you. Have a coffee mug? You can use it to boil eggs for lunch, or as an impromptu shelf to fit more in the office microwave. This video from Food Beast runs through a number of office-friendly food hacks and tricks to improve your snacking.

A lot of the tricks in the video are ones you've likely seen before if you've been reading Lifehacker for a while. Here are a few we've highlighted that are also in the video:

There are plenty of others in the video, like using a mug to create an impromptu shelf in the microwave so you can fit two plates in at the same time, and using a very very hot cup of coffee to boil an egg (although we'd suggest if you're going to do that, maybe a USB mug warmer is in order to keep the heat nice and high—unless you really like soft boiled eggs.) Also, there are some common-sense ones in there too, like using a pen as a chip bag clip, and arranging your food in a ring to heat more evenly in the microwave (although the edge of the carousel is the best spot.) Check out the video above, or hit the link below to see the full video at Food Beast.
