What Moms Really Want for Mother's Day

What Moms Really Want for Mother's Day

This Sunday is Mother's Day, which means millions of moms (at least in the US) will be treated to cards, flowers, and maybe a meal out. But you know what moms really want? Something you can't buy.

Today's informal survey of mothers finds that moms just want more time. Depending on the mom, this could mean time to be alone, maybe to read or go to the spa (so, spouses, please take the kids out for a bit)—or time with the children if they don't get enough quality time the rest of the week.

It'd also be nice if "the house magically got clean and dinner was magically cooked."

Compare this to the traditional gift usually given on Mother's Day, flowers (69% of gifts given, according to Q105, but also the least wanted gifts by polled moms, along with candy and chocolate). Whatever you do, please skip the "gifts" of cleaning supplies, books on parenting, and Weight Watchers gift certificates.
