Get Free Airline Miles When You Dine Out


Want some free airline miles? If you're going to eat out anyway, might as well score extra frequent flyer miles while you're at it. Five major airlines are now offering significant bonuses if you join their free dining programs.


These miles-for-dining programs aren't new, but recently the rewards haven't been as lucrative compared to what they were years ago. Now, though, you can pick up between 1,000 and 3,000 bonus miles—with American, Delta, Southwest, United, or US Airways—just for signing up and going out to eat at a participating restaurant within 30 days of joining. All of these except for United also want you to post a short (one-minute) review of your experience.


Afterwards, you'll earn between 1 and 5 miles per dollar you spend with your registered card at those restaurants (there are 10,000 in the Rewards Network).
